Air Conditioned Warehouse Shift: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday > Must have experience with color matching software and EX Rite Readers, UV inks, and water-based inks.

Requirements

  • Must have experience with color matching software and EX Rite Readers, UV inks, and water-based inks.
  • Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.).
  • Requires at least three years of relevant experience in flexo ink operation in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an inventory of all inks in the flexo departments.
  • Mix spot color inks as required.
  • Perform drawdowns within 24 hours upon request.
  • Reduce waste by recycling inventory to consume blends of ink that are no longer required.
  • Provide proofs of process colors and spot colors on various substrates. Maintain a library of these proofs.
  • Review and update inks per production schedule.
  • Troubleshoot problems with inks through unique blending, material recommendations, or process changes. Track these issues in a database.
  • R.T.S. inks daily.
  • Bring tolerance issues to the attention of the Production Supervisor.
  • Update and obsolete any ink formulas in the database system.
  • Responsible for the service of the X-Rite Spectrodensitometers and Densitometers throughout the plant.
  • Maintain calibration and repair as needed.
  • Perform monthly ink inventory and cycle counts.
