Career Opportunity For Ink Mixing Technician As the Ink Mixing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring consistent, high-quality ink formulations that directly support efficient manufacturing output. You will be responsible for preparing and mixing inks for printing jobs according to customer specifications. You will work closely with the production team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of inks for printing projects. By expertly preparing and adjusting inks, this role minimizes production delays and reduces waste caused by color deviations or material inconsistencies. This work enables smoother press operations and enhances product quality, leading to fewer reworks and improved customer satisfaction. The technician also helps maintain accurate inventory and usage records, supporting better forecasting and cost control.

Requirements

  • Press toning experience
  • Flexo Printing experience
  • Color formulation
  • Color matching experience
  • One (1) years minimum of water-based ink mixing/color matching experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in chemistry or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfort working with chemicals in a production environment.
  • Comfortable working 12 hour rotating shifts.
  • Must be US Citizen or Authorized to Work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and mix inks according to customer specifications and production schedule
  • Ensure accurate color matching and consistency of inks
  • Maintain inventory of inks and order supplies as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with ink quality or consistency
  • Communicate with production team to ensure timely delivery of inks for printing jobs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies
