About The Position

When the lights come up at ConMet’s Canton facility, you take the helm. From 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, Monday through Thursday, you coordinate people, machines, and materials so every cycle counts. You remove roadblocks, coach your crew, and keep safety, quality, and throughput in lockstep. Your Night, Simplified Open the shift by reviewing the molding plan, translating it into prioritized, clear assignments for each workstation. Verify work instructions, tooling, and equipment setups are in place and ready to run; confirm PPE and safety protocols are followed without exception. Direct and support the team to hit production goals and meet stringent quality standards. Coach, train, and develop team members—building capability through feedback and hands-on guidance. Maintain a clean, organized environment that reflects 5S and lean principles. Document attendance, capture production results, and deliver concise end-of-shift reports. Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts that drive efficiency and eliminate waste. Requirements

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in an injection molding production setting, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
  • Technical mastery of injection molding operations: mold/die changes, machine setup, and quality troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control practices.
  • Background in lean manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ISO and IATF 16949 systems.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and performance management skills.

  • Automotive industry experience preferred.
