This role is for an Injection Molding Color Change Operator at their Murrysville, PA manufacturing plant.

Requirements

Possess the ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
Possess the ability to understand standard units of measure and to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced repetitive environment.
Possess the ability to infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds without assistance.
Possess the ability to use power and hand tools and operate moderately complex machines.
Possess the ability to effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments.
Possess the ability to work in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
Possess the ability to perform lockout / tag-out.
Possess the ability to obtain fork truck certification.
Possess the ability to operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area.
Possess the ability to wear safety glasses ANSI Z87 approved, steel toe shoes, and other PPE as required.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 months of previous industrial manufacturing or related experience.

Nice To Haves

6 months of previous industrial manufacturing or related experience.
Previous certification in Hat Molding.

Responsibilities

Processes various component parts.
Coordinate workflow and material handling within work cell.
Use process support monitoring equipment.
Operate fork trucks.
Performs color changes and/or startups of injection molding machines.
Perform process control, start-up, process monitoring, press / mold maintenance.
Prepare raw materials including mixing for processing.
Start-up / operate part picker.
Run polycarbonate work cells, which requires additional trimming and notching.
Run lens work cell which has heightened inspection and cutting operations (expensive tooling).
Visually Inspects, trims excess material and maintains relevant paperwork.
