About The Position

Lapeer Plating & Plastics, Inc. is looking for dependable, hands-on individuals to join our production team on 2nd shift. If you’re detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and ready to grow within a dynamic, high-paced manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you! No Experience Needed – Full Training Provided! As a 2nd Shift Production Team Member, you will operate and monitor injection molding machines and perform inspection and packing of high-quality plastic and chrome-plated automotive components. You’ll help maintain continuous production flow, ensure parts meet quality standards, and keep your workspace organized and safe.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Capable of standing, bending, and lifting up to 60 lbs. throughout the shift.
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance, especially during the 60-day probation period.
Willing to follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Basic math and reading skills for interpreting work instructions and labels.

Responsibilities

Machine Operation: Start, stop, and monitor injection molding machines per standard procedures.
Inspection: Visually examine parts for surface defects or other quality issues.
Trimming & Finishing: Remove excess material or clip parts to meet specifications.
Packing: Accurately pack completed components in containers for shipment.
Material Handling: Load/unload parts or materials to support workflow.
Housekeeping: Keep workstations clean and organized while following 5S and all safety standards.
