About The Position

We are seeking a skilled 3rd Shift Production Supervisor to join our team as an onsite, hands-on owner for overseeing nightly production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met. This role leads shift personnel, coordinates with maintenance and support teams, and ensures efficient use of systems and resources to meet production goals. 3rd shift hours are Sun – Fri, 11pm – 7:30am.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (required)
  • Ability to manage production, safety, and personnel issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Willingness to work 3rd shift hours

Nice To Haves

  • DELMIAWorks experience highly preferred
  • Experience in plastic injection molding and/or assembly operations
  • Familiarity with manufacturing automation and material handling systems
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all 3rd shift production activities
  • Ensure production targets, efficiency, and throughput goals are achieved
  • Monitor line performance and address issues impacting output
  • Coordinate staffing and adjust labor as needed to meet demand
  • Enforce all safety policies and procedures
  • Respond immediately to safety concerns and escalate when appropriate
  • Conduct regular safety checks and ensure proper use of equipment
  • Ensure products meet all specifications and quality standards
  • Stop production when quality issues are identified
  • Partner with Quality team on root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Lead, coach, and develop shift employees
  • Address performance concerns and escalate disciplinary issues as needed
  • Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
  • Identify equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance
  • Troubleshoot minor issues and escalate when necessary
  • Minimize downtime through proactive communication and follow-up
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to track production, inventory, and performance metrics
  • Ensure accurate data entry and reporting for shift activities
  • Review and analyze reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities
