About The Position
Helms Home Care is seeking registered nurses to provide compassionate and personalized infusion therapy nursing services to patients in their homes. Helms Home Care is a skilled nursing services company based out of Denver, NC, offering in-home infusion care to patients of all ages across North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, West Virginia, Georgia, Maryland, and Kentucky.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license with competence in the duties described
- Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
- Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
- Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
- Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
Responsibilities
- Perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws as per the patient's needs
- Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
- Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly
