Overview: The Engineer monitors, supports, and regularly keeps updated enterprise application software. Maintains, monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes systems for reliability and efficient performance. Participates in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in:
  • Perform intermediate troubleshooting of systems and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate intermediate level of proficiency in Windows operating systems.
  • Perform intermediate administration tasks on systems and infrastructure.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years’ experience:
  • Infrastructure certifications: MSCA: Windows Server Administrator, RHCSA
  • Demonstrate intermediate level of proficiency in Linux operating systems.
  • Desired Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or similar.
  • HS Diploma / GED Additional two years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

  • Support, monitor, troubleshoot and collaborate on how to optimize systems for reliability and efficient performance.
  • Primary support of Dev, SIT, QA, UAT, Production and DR for a subset of given applications.
  • Monitors logs, triages alerts, issues, and escalates to appropriate teams.
  • Document all configurations, changes, and proposed changes.
  • Ensure the control, integrity, and accessibility of compute environments for the enterprise through compliance and usage of industry best practices and methods.
  • Closely monitor the IT Service Management system queue for work orders, tasks, and incidents and respond as per defined SLAs.
  • Provide Level II technical support to internal and external users.
  • Escalate issues to senior team members as required.
