Infrastructure Specialist 1
About The Position
The Ohio Department of Youth Services is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist 1 to join our Division of Information Technology Services. Duties include, but are not limited to: Install, maintain, configure, upgrade, and/or administer hardware and/or software independently in assigned technology domain (Workstation/VDI Support) Utilize vendor supplied third party utilities for monitoring Diagnose, analyze, and resolve issues; provide tier II-III level customer support Conduct performance tuning for hardware and/or software Manage devices such as phones and tablets; manage application compliance on third-party software for the entire agency. Safeguard information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems using security tools (e.g., Absolute, Qualys, and other agency tools)
Requirements
- 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating a single technology domain including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
- completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; and 18 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating a single technology domain including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
- completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; and 12 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating a single technology domain including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
- equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Responsibilities
