About The Position

Work under limited supervision to drive continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure programs and acquisitions Apply diversified knowledge of principles and practices to a broad range of assignments, developing expertise in specific practice areas Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for conventional projects, adapting methods for non-routine aspects as needed Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects meet corporate, industry, and regulatory standards, as well as engineering guidelines Conduct analysis on system performance and reliability strategies, providing actionable recommendations for improvement Manage large-scale projects under strict timeline constraints, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives Oversee infrastructure engineers, ensuring accurate tracking of tasks and progress in Jira, and troubleshoot issues as they arise Support decision-making through judgment and experience in adapting processes for complex project requirements

Requirements

  • Project management, negotiations, performance tracking and reporting
  • Must have experience working with Gas and Electric Utilities industries
  • Must be living in Houston and familiar with location
  • Standards, policies, training, and support of organization
  • In-depth knowledge of IT Infrastructure
  • The ability to manage multiple work streams
  • Develop and maintain metrics for new construction through a variety of dashboards for presentations
  • Management of projects in Jira, Confluence, MS Office and budgets
  • Manage, report out and coordinate with accounting on financial project tracking, including accruals
  • Communications, presentations, meetings and support
  • Research, development, and improvement measures
  • Self-starter who acts as a single point of contact for high complexity projects for the department
  • Work with other departments within organization to establish customer requirements and project costs

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or ITIL frameworks is a plus
  • Ability to scope, plan, and deliver IT Infra/Network projects (e.g. upgrades, migrations, deployments)
  • Ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery planning
  • Coordinating with hardware/software vendors and service providers
  • Maintaining accurate documentation for audit s and operational continuity
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams (security, systems, cloud, application)
  • Explaining technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Writing clear documentation, reports, and changing management records
  • Responding to evolving technologies and business needs
  • Proactively identifying areas for improvement and innovation
