About The Position

Provide advanced Tier 2 support for the bulk of on-site work, including Windows and Mac laptops/desktops, peripherals, and associated software Perform hands-on troubleshooting, system administration, hardware/software installations, configurations, and upgrades Provide hands-on support for all network infrastructure, physically supporting remote engineering teams with tasks related to Cisco routers/switches and other equipment Provide on-site support for AV infrastructure, telephony systems, CCTV, and structured cabling (fiber and copper) as needed Administer and support core infrastructure, including tech/communications rooms and local network equipment Adhere to and execute established protocols for asset management, including inventory tracking, hard drive management, and legal holds Implement and validate technical changes, following strict change management procedures Serve as the senior technical resource for on-site projects and initiatives

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a large-scale enterprise systems support or systems administration role with all of the following technologies
  • 2-3 years' experience supervising or managing direct reports
  • Hardware: AV infrastructure and conferencing systems, telephony systems (IP, etc.), CCTV, structured cabling (fiber and copper), PC (Mac, Windows) desktop hardware
  • Networking: Strong understanding of Cisco routers/switches including structured cabling as above
  • Operating Systems: Windows 11, MacOS
  • Directory Services: Active Directory
  • Proven software troubleshooting expertise across Windows/Mac devices, and Cisco in addition to hardware on-site support
  • Working technical knowledge of current network protocols and standards
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and procedural documentation
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Cisco and/or Windows certifications are preferred

  • Experience with virtualization is a plus
