Infrastructure Network Engineer, Senior The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with expertise in both wired and wireless network infrastructure, combined with strong management skills, to oversee on-site operations under the Program Manager. In this role, you will lead efforts in designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Transmission Control Protocol and Internet Protocol (TCP and IP) networks while ensuring compliance with DoW standards. You will also provide technical and managerial leadership to a team of engineers and collaborate on network planning, strategy development, and enterprise-level solutions to implement scalable and secure infrastructure. This position supports critical DoW missions, ensuring resilient connectivity while adhering to stringent cybersecurity standards in enterprise and tactical deployments. What You'll Do: Lead and manage a team of wired and wireless engineers, providing mentorship and task prioritization to ensure timely project delivery. Communicate effectively with the Program Manager and stakeholders, offering updates on project progress and alignment with DoW objectives. Ensure compliance with DoW 8140, Defense Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) standards, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG). Oversee the documentation of infrastructure designs, diagrams, and configurations to ensure accuracy and consistency across projects. Lead network planning strategies, including enterprise wireless local area network (WLAN) design, along with advanced wireless radio frequency (RF) site surveys and security designs. Design, implement, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, data center connectivity, and SD-WAN solutions. Design, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain TCP and IP networks, including hardware, such as switches and routers, software, such as OS, NMS, and NAC, services, such as timing, logging, and QoS, and ISP/OSP distribution systems, such as fiber, copper cables, and related infrastructure. Collaborate on the deployment of 802.11 wireless standards, focusing on advanced site surveying and RF design methodologies to improve system performance. Manage network services, such as timing synchronization, logging mechanisms, and QoS implementations, ensuring operational reliability. Provide technical expertise in assessing vulnerabilities within wired and wireless infrastructure, conducting cybersecurity scans, and recommending mitigation strategies.
