Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in infrastructure, storage, or SAN operations.
  • Hands-on proficiency with enterprise storage platforms such as NetApp, Pure Storage, Infinidat, Nimble, and VMware vSAN.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills within production environments.
  • Experience supporting backup/restore operations and disaster recovery processes.
  • Ability to follow structured operational standards and escalate architectural decisions appropriately.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to government contract obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve storage and SAN-related incidents affecting performance, availability, capacity, and connectivity.
  • Administer and support enterprise storage platforms (e.g., NetApp, Pure, Infinidat, Nimble, VMware vSAN) in a production environment.
  • Perform routine operational tasks including health checks, capacity planning, performance trending, alert remediation, and lifecycle management.
  • Provision and manage storage resources, including LUN/volume creation, mapping, resizing, reclamation, and documentation.
  • Support backup, restore, and replication processes, ensuring job health and successful execution of recovery procedures.
  • Assist with disaster recovery (DR) readiness activities, including restore validation and failover testing.
  • Participate in planned maintenance windows, executing firmware upgrades, patches, and configuration changes while validating post-change system integrity.
  • Coordinate with vendors to open and manage support cases, collect logs, perform triage, and oversee hardware replacements.
  • Maintain and enhance operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge bases while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
