About The Position

About the Role We are looking for a VMware Certified Professional (VCP) with strong expertise in Data Center Virtualization and Windows Server administration. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain critical virtualized environments supporting 24/7 business operations across multiple sites. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and ensure that all infrastructure components operate reliably, securely, and efficiently.

Requirements

VMware Certified Professional (VCP) – Data Center Virtualization.
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server (MCSA, MCSE or equivalent).
Proven experience with VMware vSphere design, deployment, and support.
Strong understanding of Windows Server administration and integration with VMware.
Experience with virtual storage solutions (SAN, NAS) and networking fundamentals.
Solid understanding of security best practices in virtualized environments.
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Ability to work rotational shifts (approx. every 8 weeks).
Experience with Dell PowerMax and NEXSAN storage.
Familiarity with AWS or Azure environments.
Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Responsibilities

Virtualization & Systems Administration Design, deploy, and manage VMware virtualized infrastructure for both IT and OT environments.
Configure and optimize virtual networks, storage, and compute resources.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across VMware, Windows Server, and Linux systems.
Implement security best practices to safeguard virtual infrastructure and data.
Maintain documentation for architectures, configurations, and procedures.
Patching & Lifecycle Management Maintain patching cycles for production, UAT, and development environments.
Implement automated patching to enhance accuracy and reduce maintenance windows.
Collaborate with the Head of IT on server version upgrade strategies, including hardware refreshes.
Operational Excellence Manage server alerts via SolarWinds or Grafana, ensuring proper event detection and action.
Validate and maintain server backups; conduct Disaster Recovery tests within defined SLAs.
Support application owners with cyber-related fixes, certificates, and registry updates.
Update LEAN Work Instructions with accurate system administration procedures.
Collaboration Work with cross-functional teams to integrate virtualized solutions into existing systems.
Ensure infrastructure solutions meet business needs and operational requirements.
