About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support a large-scale infrastructure remediation initiative. The primary focus of this role is Windows Server patching, vulnerability remediation, and modernization across a high-volume enterprise server environment. Active Directory experience is required; however, this is not an AD-centric role. The successful candidate will be highly hands-on with server patching, troubleshooting update failures, remediating vulnerabilities, and supporting infrastructure upgrades. This position requires someone comfortable operating in complex enterprise environments while partnering closely with Infrastructure and Security teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Windows Server administration experience.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server patching, vulnerability remediation, and troubleshooting Windows Update issues.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory (GPOs, users/groups, domain services).
  • Experience in VMware virtualized environments.
  • Broad infrastructure background including server operations and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced remediation projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Citrix administration experience.
  • NetApp storage experience.
  • Linux administration exposure.
  • Identity Provider experience (Ping preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Execute Windows Server patching and remediation efforts across hundreds of servers to address security vulnerabilities.
  • Troubleshoot patching failures, update conflicts, and compatibility issues across legacy and modern Windows Server versions.
  • Support Active Directory administration as needed (users/groups, GPOs, domain services).
  • Perform server upgrades and assist with application migrations to supported platforms.
  • Partner with Infrastructure and Security teams to prioritize remediation activities and reduce technical debt.
  • Track and remediate vulnerabilities identified through security scanning tools.
  • Document remediation actions, procedures, and system changes.
  • Provide regular status updates and communicate risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
