About The Position

Essential Duties: Lead a diverse multidisciplinary team in successfully characterizing component sensors and EOIR cameras for R&D prototypes and products. Serve as the interface with other key business functions. Define and set the standard for all test activities across the business. Foster a team and expertise comprising of a variety of competencies ranging from cryogenic device evaluation, radiometric measurement, imaging camera functionality, and statistical data analysis. This group is responsible for the assessment of performance quality, screening and product evaluation. Identify metrics to drive improvement, innovation, and nurture the best talent, hone the best practices, and lead industry capability. Line management duties include supervision of direct reports, career development, and training. Organizational growth responsibilities include planning, deploying continuous improvement, new capabilities, and maturing and inserting new technologies

Requirements

  • 10+ years in technical leadership position managing multiple teams, projects, and responsible for shaping strategic roadmaps for the business.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and interfacing with customers is essential.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in the aerospace or semiconductor industry in test, characterization, systems engineering, or product quality control.
  • Strong hands-on experience with one or more of the following areas; novel material development, semiconductor industry on the design or fab side, electro-optical hardware/software development, information sciences and machine vision technologies, product quality and compliance verification.
  • Familiarity with data bases, data visualization, and laboratory control and scripting software such python or matlab.
  • Proficiency in standard productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project, Visio) as well as statistical and data analysis and visualization techniques.
  • Understanding of design and construction of IR camera sensor packages and their constituent sub-components as well as their applications and use.
  • Familiarity with imaging customer needs, and the technical barriers to tech insertion and new product adoption.
  • A demonstrated track record with team building and change management experience in a leadership role on a program or product.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance
  • Must be able to lift and move large format drawers un-aided and handle cryogenic liquids, work in test lab cleanroom

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree, or Doctorate in Engineering, Math, or Physical Sciences is desired.
