About The Position

Advanced Technology & Research Corporation (www.atrcorp.com) is seeking to fill the following full-time permanent position. The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a team member at our government client site involved in execution of the emergent Infrared and Electro Optics (IREO) technology for the Navy. Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical engineering, or physics
  • 2-3 years of technically relevant experience preferred
  • Strong capabilities in data acquisition and data processing
  • Ability to perform image processing or code development
  • Background in electromagnetics or wave propagation theory
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to travel and support physical activities.
  • Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree is preferred.
  • Job experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories is a plus.
  • Current completion of a successful background investigation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform IR/EO test planning and execution
  • Perform IR/EO, data acquisition, data QA, and data processing
  • Perform IR/EO and data analysis and generate technical reports
  • Support equipment/instrumentation maintenance and operational checkout
