Position Overview: Alliance Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused IT Support Specialist to support the daily operation, security, and reliability of our technology systems. This role serves as the first point of contact for IT support, providing troubleshooting assistance to staff while maintaining and improving hardware, software, and network resources. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and technically capable, with a strong commitment to delivering excellent internal service. This individual enjoys working with others, builds positive and collaborative relationships across departments, communicates clearly and patiently, and serves as a trusted, approachable resource for team members while safeguarding credit union systems and data.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems
  • Associate’s degree or higher in a technology-related field or equivalent experience required

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support by monitoring, responding to, resolving, or escalating IT support tickets within established service levels.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain computer hardware, software, peripherals, and related equipment.
  • Create, modify, and maintain employee network access and system permissions in accordance with security policies.
  • Support core systems, telecommunications networks, phone systems, and PC connectivity.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, databases, system libraries, and inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with researching, planning, and implementing new technologies to improve operational efficiency and member access.
  • Notify IT leadership of system issues, vulnerabilities, upgrades, or repair needs.
  • Travel to Alliance Credit Union locations as needed and operate a credit union–owned or personal vehicle when required.
  • Assist the AVP of IT with projects and other duties as assigned.
