Under the direction of a Manager of Information Technology Services within the Chief Information Security Office/Information Security Engineering/Patching section, the position will supervise the Patch Testing Coordination unit which is responsible for working with all supported agencies and other teams within the Office of Information Technology Services to provide and maintain a list of testers for workstation patching. The incumbent will evaluate and monitor the deployments, efficiency, and needs for security patching on ITS supported Windows systems, supervise subordinate staff, and act as a team member providing in-depth subject matter expertise on patching processes, procedures, tools, and best practices. The incumbent will also serve as a member of the Windows Patching unit to provide help as needed during patch cycles. The position requires availability during off-shift hours to ensure appropriate response to security incidents or other critical activities that may impact sensitive information, critical systems, NYS agencies, or ITS.
