About The Position

Enterprise Solutions Development Division (ESDD) is currently seeking an Information Technology Manager II to work as the Assistant Division Chief over the Software Engineering and Support Section. The incumbent will oversee the Application Engineering and Architecture, Environment Management, Application, Release, Testing, and Scheduling, Middle Tier Support, and Database Management Services teams. These units are highly technical and are engaged in high-priority enterprise initiatives. The role entails direct management and accountability for both the teams' strategic direction and their deliverables. Taking on this pivotal role provides a unique opportunity to significantly influence and contribute to California Public Employees' Retirement System, CalPERS's continued success. Requirements

  • Provide examples of how you have led teams through organizational change, specifically addressing the integration of new technologies, adaptation of workforce skills, and transformation of business processes? What approaches did you use to ensure alignment and engagement across these areas?
  • All experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) listed on the Classification Specification should be included in your application package to clearly demonstrate how you meet the MQs for this position.
