About The Position

Providing technical support to Data Systems Coordinator to resolve IT-related issues quickly and efficiently, ensuring that employees have access to the necessary support. Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Setting up and configuring new systems. Updating and maintaining existing systems. Providing support to end users. Training staff on new technologies and systems. Managing and maintaining computer systems: This includes installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software, as well as managing network servers. Network and server support when needed. Implementing and overseeing IT security measures including implementing and managing security policies to protect data and manage access controls. Staying updated with new technology trends and be able to work with a variety of technologies and systems. Collaborating with other IT team members and vendors. Documenting technical issues and solutions Organizing meetings and drafting essential documents. Utilization of the State ERP system to support and assist with various administrative support functions. Other administrative support services, as needed. Supplemental Information Assist the Office of the Auditor General's Data Systems Coordinator, Administrative Support Supervisor, and Auditor General in ensuring that the IT infrastructure supports the organization's goals and user needs. The role is crucial for maintaining the technological services and security of the organization and ensuring that all IT-related tasks are efficiently managed. This position will also assist with technology related administrative supports relating to Statewide applications for transaction processing and personnel administration. Salary to be offered will commiserate with experience.

Requirements

  • Familiar with basic computer hardware, software, and peripherals
  • Ability to troubleshooting, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Ability to provide technical support - in person, via phone, or electronically
  • Familiar with network topology
  • Familiar with O365(M365), Entra and Azure, (e.g., SharePoint, Onedrive, M365 Admin Ctr)
  • Familiar with Server 2022, encryption, backups, SQL server, routine server maintenance and updates
  • Microsoft 365 administration, including relevant security and application functionality.
