About The Position

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento. Under the general supervision of the Information Technology (IT) Supervisor I, the IT Associate schedules, executes, monitors, and ensures successful completion of DMV's Mission Critical Production Batch processes, utilizing Mainframe Legacy Software including Time Sharing Option (TSO), Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF), Job Control Language (JCL), the job scheduling software (ESP), and the software migration tool (ENDEVOR). The incumbent collaborates and effectively communicates both verbally and in writing via phone, email, the DMV Ticket Tracking System, and the California Department of Technology Ticket Tracking System with all levels of staff including, but not limited to management, technical and business staff, vendors, and DMV's internal and external customers. Additionally, the incumbent analyzes, develops, and produces technical documentation for DMV's Production Data Guidance (PDG) processes, procedures, guidelines, and standards as well as ensuring compliance with DMV's guidelines. The incumbent provides technical recommendations as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for critical projects such as Legislatively Mandated Projects, Enterprise Software Upgrades, On-Demand AD Hoc Projects, Disaster Recovery, and Operations Recovery exercises ensuring business needs and requirements. In addition, the incumbent ensures all accountable items forms, titles and /or certificates (pinks), and registration cards are accounted for and balanced for processing. The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position. Requirements

  • Must be able to grasp, reach, push, pull and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance is required before hire.
