The Phoenix Convention Center & Venues hosts a diverse range of conventions, trade shows, meetings, and entertainment events in one of the premier convention facilities in the United States. The Phoenix Convention Center is one of the largest convention centers in the United States, hosting approximately 65 national and international conventions each year and more than 500 events of all kinds in three convention buildings with more than 900,000 attendees annually. We are seeking an Information Technology Analyst Programmer I to fill a vacancy in the Technical Services Department. The Information Technology Analyst Programmer I at the Phoenix Convention Center & Venues performs systems analysis and applications programming involving single or multiple information technology systems. Work includes analyzing functional and conceptual workflow procedures and translating those specifications into computer applications, testing those applications, designing procedure documentation, and training customers in their use. Assignments are based on management approved information technology systems. Work is performed with a limited amount of independence, and performance is evaluated by frequent reviews of work in progress. This position at Phoenix Convention Center works primarily in a Microsoft environment with knowledge of programming languages and software, and, after training, will serve as a first line of support for business applications used by the Convention Center.

  • Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.
  • One or more years of experience in:
  • Momentus Enterprise event management system.
  • Modern programming languages such as JavaScript or Python.
  • Providing training to users.
  • Using SharePoint 2019 or SharePoint Online.
  • Enterprise applications supporting over 100 users.
  • Experience creating SharePoint display templates.
  • Experience developing customized forms or apps in Power Apps.
  • Experience creating complex workflows in Power Automate.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS.
  • Experience working with SQL server, SQL server reporting services, and/or other related technologies.
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in computer science, math, or a related field.
  • Ability to produce high quality documentation.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across multiple teams.
  • Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical and communication skills.
