About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and user-focused Information Technologist to serve as an Information Management Officer (IMO) at Fort Sill. In this critical support role, you will be the bridge between complex technical infrastructure and the daily operations of our team. You will provide comprehensive client support, manage endpoints in a modern Microsoft environment, and ensure seamless, secure connectivity for users at all levels. If you excel at remote troubleshooting, endpoint management, and translating technical jargon into plain English for non-technical staff, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field; OR a minimum of three (3) years of field experience in desktop support or network administration.
  • At least two (2) years of dedicated client support experience in a Microsoft Windows-based environment.
  • Must obtain and maintain appropriate Computing Environment (CE) training/certifications for the operating systems and security tools supported (must be maintained throughout the life of the contract).
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Windows Network Operating Systems (specifically Windows 11) and modern endpoint management (Microsoft Intune).
  • Advanced knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
  • Strong foundational understanding of general connectivity issues within LAN, WAN, and Internet environments.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide robust client support and troubleshooting for end-users operating in a Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Administer and manage devices using Microsoft Intune.
  • Quickly and accurately diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems, both on-site and remotely.
  • Perform PC imaging, configure remote printers, and troubleshoot automated email systems.
  • Implement and maintain local system security protocols, including establishing user/group accounts, managing passwords, and developing file permission attributes.
  • Support users across the full suite of M365 applications, including Outlook, OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage, and Access.
  • Serve as a technical translator, communicating complex IT information clearly and concisely to non-technical users across all levels of the organization.
