About The Position

GDIT has an immediate opportunity for an Information Systems Technician to support our infrastructure in Falls Church, Virginia. HOW A SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Providing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware. Working closely with GDIT employees to ensure IT tickets are responded to, and resolved, in a timely manner. Monitoring and responding to hardware and software problems with a variety of testing tools and techniques. Providing onsite support for other technical and organizational groups including hands-on/eyes-on assistance for remote teams. Offering technical support and training to end-users. Expanding current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Maintaining systems for conference rooms and associated AV components. Participating in special projects as required. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma required
  • Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience or technical certification
  • Required Technical Skills: Experience with Windows desktops, laptops, mobile devices (iOS, Android).
  • Required Skills: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; positive energy and commitment to serve GDIT employees and work harmoniously with peers
  • Location: On-site in Falls Church a minimum of four (4) days per week
  • US Citizenship required
  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Aptitude for basic networking principles and Operational knowledge of the following: Active Directory, Group Policy, SharePoint, and Microsoft System Center products.
