About The Position

Leidos is seeking an impact driving Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team at Davis–Monthan AFB in Arizona, supporting critical Air Force and Intelligence Community missions. This role is ideal for a cybersecurity professional who thrives in high‑visibility environments and wants to make a measurable impact on national‑level operations. Candidates must already hold a current TS/SCI clearance. As the ISSO, you’ll play a key role in strengthening and sustaining a mission‑essential cybersecurity program, working alongside the ACC Cybersecurity Chief Information Security Officer and unit‑level ISSOs. Your expertise will help protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of AF IC information systems that directly support operational success.

Requirements

  • Must currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 11+ years of relevant experience (additional experience may be considered for a degree).
  • IAT Level II certification is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Assessment and Authorization documentation, Cybersecurity assessments, and program-related tasks.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with AF and IC plans and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain local unit Cybersecurity programs and security plans in accordance with ACC, AF, IC, and DoD guidance.
  • Collect data, assess compliance, and report findings on the status and development of: Local unit Cybersecurity programs Security plans Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) workflow tools Patch management Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) DoD 8570.01M certifications Federal Information System Modernization Act (FISMA) compliance Authorizations to Operate (ATOs) Reports will be provided to unit leadership and higher headquarters (HHQs) as directed.
  • Collaborate with local units and HHQ IISMs to deliver Cybersecurity assessments, recommend courses of action, and propose solutions to commanders for enhancing their Cybersecurity programs.
  • Design and conduct on-the-job training for government civilians, contractors, and military personnel on a range of IT security tools, policies, and procedures necessary to protect resources and meet compliance standards.
