Description Title: Information Systems Security Developer Location: Hybrid, Washington, DC Terms: Full-time Clearance: Ability to obtain a Public Trust Travel: 0-20% Position Description: Harmonia is seeking an Information Systems Security Developer (ISSD) | Enterprise Architect (EA) aligned to the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Framework (Securely Provision) to support Federal government cybersecurity initiatives. This role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and evaluating information system security throughout the system development life cycle, while also supporting the development and maintenance of enterprise architectures that align business, system, and information processes with mission needs. The ISSD | EA works closely with application and engineering teams to ensure the cost-effective implementation of security capabilities and supports the selection, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of security tools across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Advanced capability level consistent with the NICE framework roles, with demonstrated abilities, knowledge, and skills to perform all core tasks.
  • Demonstrated, recent experience supporting information security or cybersecurity projects for the Federal government.
  • Certification in one or more of the following tools (required); certifications in two (2) or more preferred: Splunk Enterprise, Tenable vulnerability management, Tanium
  • Demonstrated, recent experience in cloud security and guiding the secure implementation of cloud solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting the secure implementation of cloud-native and emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, robotic process automation, or similar technologies.
  • Master’s degree or higher, and/or a degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide security architecture initiatives in a Federal environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and evaluate security controls and capabilities throughout the system development life cycle.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise and system architectures that support mission and security requirements.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and engineering teams to integrate security into system designs and architectures.
  • Support the cost-effective implementation of security capabilities across applications and platforms.
  • Assist in the selection, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of cybersecurity tools and technologies.
  • Guide and support the secure implementation of cloud-based solutions, ensuring alignment with Federal cybersecurity requirements.
  • Support the implementation of cloud-native and emerging technologies, where applicable.
  • Ensure solutions align with Federal cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations related to system security design and architecture.
