Hello, we're Tri-County Electric Cooperative Located in Lancaster, Missouri, Tri-County Electric was incorporated in 1938 and is a member-owned, not-for-profit distribution cooperative that supplies electric service to its members in northeast Missouri. Today, Tri-County Electric Cooperative Association serves over 6,500 meters in Adair, Schuyler, Scotland and portions of Macon, Putnam, Knox, Clark, Davis and Sullivan counties on 1,830 miles of distribution line. Position Overview We are seeking an Information Systems Administrator to maintain and support our Cooperative's IT systems, networks, and software. This role ensures efficient, secure, and reliable technology operations while providing technical support to staff.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of MSP and/or Windows desktop support experience
  • Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, and system administration
  • Experience with Linux/Unix systems
  • Ability to support Active Directory and network infrastructure
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and compliance
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Commitment to excellent service and continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or higher in IT or related field
  • Experience with Proxmox, SQL, or Oracle

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support computer systems, networks, and software
  • Analyze IT needs and implement efficient system solutions
  • Provide user support and training
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and system integration
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, VLANs, and network security
  • Support virtualization (Proxmox), backups, UPS systems, and cameras
  • Ensure cybersecurity and compliance (NIST 800, PCI)
  • Assist with system upgrades, troubleshooting, and documentation
  • Coordinate IT activities across departments
