About The Position

This position is responsible for the daily activities associated with the Networking group and level I Help Desk support. This includes network administration, installation, maintenance of PC's, printers, and software for the facility. This position will also work directly with the Network Manager to implement network strategies consistent with the technical direction of the organization. This position is required to be on-call after hours.

Requirements

  • Expresses self clearly and effectively in oral and written communications, including telephone etiquette with all customers/departments/management team/colleagues in the English language.
  • Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assess/detect changes in human physiological condition.
  • Position may require working irregular hours under stressful conditions, rotations shift, holidays, and weekends.
  • Able to function calmly in a fast paced and stressful environment.
  • Able to gather and analyze information to solve problems to ensure quality.
  • Must clear background and drug test required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties and conduct interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital.
  • Work with supervisor/manager/director and other members of section or department to promote a harmonious work environment.
  • Ensure that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians, and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful, and considerate manner.
  • Answer telephones in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Display concern and help or explain procedures as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations.
  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Work with customers to identify problem areas and recommend solutions.
  • Comply with facility and departmental quality improvement practices and protocols.
  • Recognize and perform duties which need to be performed, although not directly assigned, and regularly assists others.
  • Seek methods to improve current facility practices/processes by identifying problems and proposing solutions.
  • Assume responsibility to ensure that the jobs/tasks are performed accurately and safely, in a timely manner.
  • Treat every encounter as an opportunity to respond to individual needs, including problem resolution.
  • Comply with hospital's Standards of Behavior guidelines.
  • Comply with standards of confidentiality.
  • Participate in continuing education related to job/profession, as evidenced by attendance records or certificates.

  • Set priorities and organizes work systematically to maximize efficiency.
  • Meet performance expectations for volume, timeliness, and quality.
