About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Information Services Supervisor II to play a vital role in the management, development, and future planning of the Library's technology services. What You'll Do: As the Information Services Supervisor II, you will: Assist in the supervision of the Information Services department. Help guide strategic planning initiatives. Oversee and support the Library's technology infrastructure, including the computer network, hardware, software, the Integrated Library System (ILS), and other essential IT services. Work with department manager to plan for and maintain the Library's computer network and infrastructure and security, including the ILS, hardware, and software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to system-wide decision-making. Lead technology training and documentation efforts to ensure staff stay informed and skilled. Help manage the department budget and E-Rate participation. Monitor and evaluate services, procedures, and workflow for efficiency and innovation.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Five years of experience working with information systems and 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a library setting.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • A commitment to public service and an enthusiasm for emerging library technologies.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required for travel between branches.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master's degree from an ALA-accredited program is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Integrated Library Systems (Innovative Interfaces preferred).
