Thurston Mason Behavioral Health Organization is seeking an Information Services Director to lead its information services and information technology team. This role is for a mission-driven, values-centered leader who recognizes the critical role of reliable, secure, and user-centered technology in delivering quality behavioral health care and ensuring responsible stewardship of public resources. Serving both Olympic Health and Recovery Services (a licensed behavioral health agency) and the Thurston Mason Behavioral Health Administrative Services Organization (a publicly funded governmental entity), the director must demonstrate a strong commitment to public service, transparency, and community well-being. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Information Services Director collaborates with senior leaders and may report to a governing board that includes elected officials, requiring professionalism, accountability, and clear communication of complex technical and data-driven information to diverse audiences. The position provides leadership and oversight for a team supporting the technology needs of over 200 staff, including clinicians, certified peer support specialists, and medical staff across various programs and care settings. A critical aspect of the role is ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant data submission to the Washington State Health Care Authority, Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), and commercial insurers for billing, reimbursement, reporting/analysis, and service continuity. The ideal candidate understands that effective information systems and data integrity directly empower frontline staff to provide timely, person-centered care, balancing innovation with stability, safeguarding client privacy, and leading with integrity to strengthen care delivery, operational effectiveness, financial sustainability, and public trust.
