About The Position

The Director, Information Systems (ISD) reports to the Vice President, Technology and is responsible for the maintenance of upkeep of cloud-based management platforms, and database systems. The Director, Information Systems plays a pivotal role in resolving issues related to all property management software/platforms (Yardi, Entrata, EliseAI), IS vendors (current & new), and system support for both on-site and corporate teams. This position plays a pivotal role for New Development, Acquisition, Disposition, and Stabilized Assets to ensure smooth operational procedures for all users using software systems as a service. This role will also be a key focus in standardized training and organization compliances to ensure all employees are operating with the elevated level of both MFTS and SPM company standards and documenting each procedure for department wayfinding procedures. This role will handle special projects assigned by the VP Technology which include, but is not limited to, the items addressed in the essential duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Background Education in Business, IT, Property Management, or related field preferred
  • 5+ Year(s) in the Housing Industry (Student, Conventional, Affordable, Tax Credit)
  • 5+ Year(s) of experience in Property Management related software (Yardi (Required), Entrata (Good to Have)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a leader to the Information System Managers and Specialists in the organization. Review department goals as assigned by Vice President, Technology to ensure that all team members are aligned with management of priorities, tasks, and vivid visions.
  • Stakeholder and Champion of all information systems and platforms (i.e. Yardi, Entrata, EliseAI, Leasing Directory, File Share Platforms, VOIP, Clickup, Freshdesk, and future onboarded platforms/subscriptions).
  • Stakeholder and Champion of SPM help desk ticket queue to ensure ticket flow and resolutions are completed for each end user. Management and review of ticket completion and satisfaction levels to ensure the best end user experience for customers.
  • System migrations which include, but not limited to, Yardi To Yardi (Y2Y), Entrata To Entrata (E2E), and manual imports for database transfer for property databases during New Property Onboarding and Offboarding as well as for New Construction assets.
  • Liaison between different departments to assist in Affordable Housing requirements such as HAPS and TRACS, Vouchers and other affordable housing requirements to complete corrections as needed.
  • Access control and user group permission management in all Information System Platforms for standardization by user and group to perform duties by Company policy.
  • Subject matter expert in all property management products related to Yardi and Entrata for Conventional, Student, HUD, and Section 8 Housing. Training for the IS division and other departments on any system updates and changes that impact the organization.
  • Stakeholder in VOIP consolidation and upkeep for company telephony standardizations.
  • Stakeholder for property migrations for acquisitions, dispositions, new development/construction, and stabilized assets for all housing class categories. Examples include baseline file import/export, Y2Y, ETE, etc.
  • Coordinate with PMS providers for system issues, feature requests, and communication for new functionality and system releases through developer notes for change management procedures under the guidance of the VP, Technology.
  • Review quality assurance for all existing and new software under the guidance from VP, Technology and other SME stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback for constant improvement on current executed systems and policies to VP, Technology.
  • Actions tied to set company objectives and goals to steer efforts to benefit the organization and Technology Department.
  • Must be able to adhere to the required work schedule, and available for weekend hours when deemed necessary.
  • On-site Travel if applicable for conferences, seminars, staff training, onboarding, etc. Not to exceed over 20% of travel.
  • Any additional projects related to Information Systems or other goals assigned by Vice President of Technology.
