Information Security Intern
About The Position
Veracode is a global leader in Application Risk Management for the AI era, powered by trillions of lines of code scans and a proprietary AI-generated remediation engine. The Veracode platform is trusted by organizations worldwide to build and maintain secure software from code creation to cloud deployment. The Veracode Security Operations team is seeking a Computer Science or Information Security major interested in gaining hands-on experience as part of a modern blue team within a cloud-native security organization. This role will provide exposure to security monitoring, incident response, and the engineering behind a first-in-class security platform.
Requirements
- Preferred majors: Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, Math, or related field
- Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university
- Able to work full-time (Monday–Friday)
- Must be able to commute to Burlington, MA 3x a week T/W/T
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Nice To Haves
- Interest and/or experience in: Linux operating systems (Red Hat or Amazon Linux preferred)
- Interest and/or experience in: AWS services and cloud architecture
- Interest and/or experience in: Data analysis
- Interest and/or experience in: Core networking concepts
- Interest and/or experience in: Basic security principles such as access control, least privilege, and separation of duties
- Interest and/or experience in: Scripting languages such as Python or Bash
Responsibilities
- Experience securing a cloud-based security ecosystem
- Exposure to a modern SIEM and SecOps tooling
- Hands-on incident response training
- Project work including platform onboarding and security tool configuration
- Opportunity to build new technical skills and strengthen existing ones
