Job Overview Genmab is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Information Security Intern to support the Application Security team. The Application Security Intern will collaborate with Genmab’s Application Security lead to design and implement a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables secure, standards-driven interactions between human users and AI agents.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of application security, secure software design, or distributed system architecture.
  • Experience with Python, TypeScript, or similar languages commonly used in AI/agent ecosystems.
  • Understanding of authentication/authorization models (e.g., OAuth, mTLS, API security patterns).
  • Ability to analyze technical problems, conduct independent research, and clearly communicate complex concepts.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with emerging AI agent frameworks such as MCP, A2A, or agent orchestration platforms.
  • Exposure to secure design principles for LLM-based systems or AI security controls.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native development (AWS, Azure) or containerized services.
  • Background in protocol design, systems engineering, or security architecture.
  • Passion for building safe, reliable, and auditable AI-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in architecting and developing a secure MCP server aligned to Genmab’s AI security principles.
  • Research and apply security standards (e.g., NIST SSDF, OWASP ASVS, CSA AI guidelines) to the design of agent–tool interactions.
  • Prototype, test, and validate secure communication workflows between human users and AI agents.
  • Evaluate risks associated with cross-agent communication, identity, and authorization within MCP-based systems.
  • Document architecture decisions, security controls, and implementation patterns for internal engineering and security teams.
