About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Telecommunications Supervisor, receptionists greet visitors, patients and sales representatives. Provides directions to locations within the Hospital. Handles internal and external calls regarding patients, Hospital services and programs. Responsibilities include answering of Emergency 711 phone and handling Codes.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience as a telephone operator/receptionist or other related experience required
  • Must possess an effective command of the English language
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills required
  • Must be able to deal professionally and effectively with the general public
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of general clerical procedures as well as basic computer skills
  • Good telephone skills and etiquette required
