About The Position

CACI is seeking and Information Assurance Officer (IAO)/ISSO to ensure that the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for all directorate Information Systems (IS). This role is onsite each day in Laurel, Maryland. Responsibilities: • Deliver Information Assurance assessments, System Security Plans, C&A reports, system security scans, security requirements traceability matrixes, project of action and milestone lists, and assist the Government with the preparation of IA documentation. • Ensure that projects comply with Director of Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) 6/3 Certification and Accreditation (C&A) guidance as well as manage the transition to the new National Institute of Standards (NSIT) 800-53 based Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 process. • Manage operational security requirements, respond to security incidents and facilitate security assessments in accordance with the deadlines set by corporate elements. • Work with government sponsors to design, implement, and maintain advanced security engineering activities such as continuous monitoring, automated patch management, and automated asset discovery and tracking. • Work with accreditation authorities to achieve system certification and ensure completion of security assessments of new requirements and implement security plans. Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience as an ISSO and technical proficiency in agency-specific ISSO tools and processes.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as an Information Assurance Officer working collaboratively with System Owners and Information System Security Managers to advise on the overall security posture of information assets used to support operations and decision making.
  • Prior technical work experience as a system engineer, Windows or Linux system administrator or network engineer.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level III certification such as CISSP (or Associate), CASP+CE, CCNP, CCSP.
  • High school diploma with sixteen (16) years’ experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related discipline+ twelve (12) years’ experience, or a Master's Degree with ten (10) year experience, or a Ph.D with eight (8) years experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience producing on-demand and/or weekly reports for user-specific reporting needs.
  • Application prototype or software development experience.
  • At least one technical certification such as systems engineering (e.g., INCOSE), networking (e.g., CCNA- Security), system administration (e.g., RHCE, MCSE), virtualization (e.g., VCP).
  • Experience implementing or maintaining centralized logging and orchestration services and producing interpreting visualizations in systems such as Splunk, AWS Cloudwatch.
