Job Summary The Security Operations Organization's Collateral Information Security Department is dedicated to safeguarding our people, environment, and critical assets while delivering exceptional leadership, services, and solutions that protect company information and drive operational excellence across the Corporation. As the Information Systems Security Officer (Information Assurance Specialist II/III) , you will play a pivotal role in interpreting and implementing government customer policies while demonstrating strong leadership and agility in support of our strategic imperatives. You will be a key contributor to maintaining our security posture and enabling mission success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, onsite at our location in El Segundo, CA.

Requirements

  • Must have successfully completed secondary education through a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • A minimum of (3) or more years of increasingly responsible and relevant professional experience is required
  • Advanced understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NIST 800-53, DoD Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), and related Information Assurance doctrine
  • Current DoD 8140 certification required (Security+, CISSP, or equivalent) is required
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher), which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
  • A minimum of (5) or more years of increasingly responsible and relevant professional experience is required
  • Advanced understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes with demonstrated ability to lead security authorization efforts
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical application of NIST 800-53 security controls, DoD Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), and related Information Assurance (IA) doctrine

Nice To Haves

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical discipline is strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience implementing and managing Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, including security control assessments and authorization packages
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and deliver security authorization milestones on schedule
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) module or GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) platform for security authorization workflow management

Responsibilities

  • Development of policies and procedures regarding data handling, computers, and networks in collaboration with internal and U.S. Space Force customers
  • Coordination of Collateral systems activities with internal Aerospace and CISD team members
  • Establishment, monitoring, and maintenance of CISD information systems security compliance posture under the Risk Management Framework from conception through decommission
  • Attainment and maintenance of systems Assessment & Authorizations to Operate (ATO’s)
  • Creation and maintenance of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) artifacts for all collateral information systems
  • Incident handling process of classified information system related incidents
  • Transfers of data for users between systems of like and differing classification levels
