About The Position

The Application Analyst II – Is Information Senior analyst responsible for ensuring accurate configuration, maintenance, and optimization of assigned applications and systems. This role ensures all payor logic is updated within the system, conducts regular reporting and audits to ensure compliance, and manages accurate post‑production changes. The position will additionally oversee Behavioral Health reporting in partnership with Corporate Coding Services, and works in close collaboration with the Department Director and the Chief Revenue Cycle Officer. As a subject matter expert, the Team Lead possesses deep knowledge of application workflows, content, and system functionality, and provides day‑to‑day leadership and guidance to the application team in coordination with the Application Leader.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Medicaid reimbursement models, including Behavioral Health‑specific claims, managed care workflows, and program requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Optum Behavioral Health policies, authorization processes, and reimbursement logic.
  • Experience with Behavioral Health carve‑outs, integration rules, and benefit structures.
  • Knowledge of Article 31 / Article 3 regulations, including OMH and DOH Behavioral Health operational and billing guidelines.
  • Ability to interpret and operationalize compliance policies into system configuration and workflow design.
  • Expertise in report development, monitoring compliance metrics, and performing system audits.
  • Demonstrated competency in leading teams and mentoring analysts.
  • High School Diploma
  • Four (4) years of experience in: Healthcare operations (clinical, patient care, administrative, or revenue cycle), OR Information technology OR Health information technology
  • Demonstrated competency in an Application Analyst III role
  • Experience across all stages of project implementation, including: Design Development Workflow analysis Build Implementation Optimization Go‑live and post–go‑live support

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (IT, clinical, or healthcare discipline)
  • Epic experience
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification or equivalent
