Job Description Position Overview The Analyst II, Information and Cyber Security is responsible for identifying and responding to cyber security incidents to protect the information assets of the Invenergy. This role will research and analyze alerts via internal and external security solutions and vendors including threat hunting and remediation work, and provide an escalation point. This position will seek out weaknesses of the infrastructure by analyzing data and recommending solutions to mitigate risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of practical experience in a technology environment.
  • Analytical skills with ability to relate to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement policies and standards.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certification (e.g. CISSP, SANS, CEH).
  • Proven technical expertise in networking, server client technology or operating systems.
  • Experience with security and control frameworks, such as NERC CIP, NIST, ITIL, and ISO.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security environment and ensure appropriate incident response procedures are followed.
  • Interprets cyber threat intelligence for determination of potential threat and impact, determines potential scope, and implements mitigations.
  • Address business impacting situations, and work to restore normal service.
  • Creates and maintains records and documentation.
  • Participate in root-cause/problem management process.
  • Improve and enforce security standards and policies across the enterprise.
  • Share information across teams to improve workflow processes.
  • Provides troubleshooting assistance to users regarding security and access issues.
  • Assists in the preparation of training materials and communications.
