About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Informatica Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a federal client in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data integration solutions. This individual will serve as a technical leader, providing expertise across the Informatica platform while ensuring alignment with federal data standards, security requirements, and best practices. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience with Informatica tools, a strong understanding of data architecture, and prior experience supporting federal or government environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience with Informatica (PowerCenter, IICS, or related tools)
  • At least 2+ years of experience supporting federal government clients or projects
  • Strong expertise in ETL/ELT design, development, and performance tuning
  • Experience working with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data integration patterns
  • Experience with data quality, data governance, and metadata management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in an onsite environment
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • US Citizenship or a Green Card is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) or cloud-based data platforms
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other cloud environments
  • Experience with federal data standards, compliance frameworks, or secure environments
  • Prior experience supporting agencies such as DoD, DHS, HHS, or similar
  • Informatica certifications
  • Active or previous security clearance (nice to have)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of data integration solutions using Informatica (PowerCenter, IICS, or similar)
  • Serve as the primary SME for Informatica across multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows, mappings, and transformations
  • Provide guidance on data architecture, data governance, and data quality best practices
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and developers to translate requirements into scalable solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration and performance issues
  • Ensure compliance with federal security, data handling, and regulatory requirements
  • Support system modernization and cloud migration efforts (as applicable)
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams
