About The Position

Recruit Secure is collaborating with a 200+ bed Skilled Nursing Home in the Philadelphia, PA area that is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and caring Infection Control and Quality Assurance (RN). The Infection Control Nurse will be responsible for the facility's Infection Control and Prevention program and will oversee the management, assessment, and documentation of infections within the facility and ensure that all policies and surveillance programs are up to date and meet all CDC, Federal, State, and DOH regulatory compliance standards. The successful candidate will have supervisory experience in Skilled Nursing Homes , in-depth knowledge of infection control protocols, and strong communication skills to interact with physicians, families , and nursing staff. Additionally, the Infection Control – Quality Assurance RN will be responsible for assessing, recommending, implementing, and monitoring appropriate measures to track performance and identify opportunities to improve the quality of care . Requirements

  • BRN degree preferred but not mandatory
  • Current PA RN License
  • Certification - APIC – CIC OR CDC certification preferred
  • Experience (at least 2 years) working as a Supervisor or Assistant Director of Nursing in a skilled Nursing Home a must
  • 1+ years’ experience working with Infection Control policies, procedures and reporting
  • In-depth understanding of Infectious protocols and regulatory compliance
  • Knowledgeable with State and Federal regulations and compliance guidelines
  • Strong problem resolution skills

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the facility's Infection Control and Prevention program
  • Oversee the management, assessment, and documentation of infections within the facility
  • Ensure that all policies and surveillance programs are up to date and meet all CDC, Federal, State, and DOH regulatory compliance standards
  • Assess, recommend, implement, and monitor appropriate measures to track performance and identify opportunities to improve the quality of care
  • Participate and lead QAPI meetings
  • Develop, maintain, and revise patient care/ Infection Control policies as needed
