About The Position

Requirements

  • 2-3 years in Early Childhood Education, preferably with infants
  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Ability to implement developed curriculum to infant students, in collaboration with our on-site Instructional Coach
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform all duties safely and effectively
  • Meets all North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (NCDCDEE) requirements to work in a licensed child care program
  • Must provide official transcripts prior to the first day of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Birth-through-Kindergarten licensure or certification preferred
  • Candidates with ITS SIDS training are strongly encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Manage a classroom of up to 10 infants alongside another dedicated teacher, ensuring a low student-to-teacher ratio and personalized attention.
  • Create and implement lessons using the STREAMin3 Curriculum, supporting the development of the whole child
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children
  • Build positive relationships with families through clear, professional, and compassionate communication
  • Collaborate with colleagues, the Director, and support staff to ensure students, caregivers, and teachers feel supported
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in all interactions
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in monthly staff meetings
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that respects and celebrates the values and beliefs of all families
  • Be flexible and team-oriented, assisting with other responsibilities assigned by the Director and/or Assistant Director
