About The Position

The Learning Experience – South Lyon is hiring a compassionate and attentive Infant Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our infant classroom focuses on providing a calm, secure, and engaging environment where babies can develop trust, curiosity, and early learning skills. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys nurturing infants, supporting daily routines, and partnering with families during a child’s earliest milestones.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 6 months of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or daycare setting (1 year preferred)
Understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Must meet all Michigan childcare licensing requirements

Nice To Haves

CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus

Responsibilities

Provide responsive, nurturing care for infants in a safe and structured classroom setting
Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, naps, and individualized schedules
Engage infants in sensory activities, music, movement, and early language exposure
Observe and support physical, emotional, and cognitive development
Communicate consistently with families about daily activities and developmental progress
Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets all health and safety standards
Work collaboratively with co-teachers and leadership to ensure high-quality care
