About The Position

As a Senior Industrial Services Engineer, you will lead engineering efforts across a broad spectrum of mechanical utilities with a specialized focus on ammonia and refrigeration, boiler systems and wastewater systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and factory-level engineering groups to support capital projects, optimize utility systems, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards. Your work will directly impact operational excellence and environmental stewardship across our facilities

Requirements

  • Education Level: Bachelor's Degree required in engineering (or related field) or 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing maintenance setting, with focus on industrial systems
  • Ability to travel to plant sites as required
  • Skills: Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively with employees at all levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills - Listening and informing others effectively; excellent negotiating and influencing skills at all levels both internal and external.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimal direction. Must be a self-motivated self-starter.
  • Must possess the ability to always maintain external and internal confidentiality.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to plant sites as required, typically up to 50%

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in all mechanical utilities including steam, chilled water, cooling tower water, domestic water, compressed air, HVAC, refrigeration and hazardous gases
  • Serve as SME for waste water management and ammonia cooling operations in all industrial facilities
  • Lead mechanical utility standards, design, project execution and system performance
  • Provide engineering design and review for capital projects including scopes of work, requests for quotes (RFQ), construction packages and commissioning support
  • Ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of all mechanical utility systems, minimizing environmental impact and resource consumption
  • Coach and mentor factory-level Industrial Services teams including managers, supervisors and technicians
  • Confirm compliance with federal, state and internal standards from design through operation and maintenance
  • Stay abreast of, evaluate and select appropriate facilities, equipment and technology.
  • Prepare analysis of new and existing facilities, technologies and systems.
