Responsibilities As an Industrial Security Representative Level III, you will report to the Special Programs Office Manager/Facility Security Officer (FSO), who is responsible for oversight and supervision of the Laboratory's Industrial Security Program. In this position, you will: Lead classified records and information management for the National Programs Office (NPO) business development activities, and the National Programs Implementation Office (NPIO) ongoing business. Be assigned as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to one or more programs. Research legal requirements and determine polices for the destruction of classified information. Ensure compliance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and all security protocols required by customers or contracts and keep abreast of ever-changing industrial security regulations. Train and orient employees in security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government and customer regulations. Understand and apply advanced principles, theories, concepts and techniques within the relevant industrial security fields of knowledge. Understand and apply Laboratory policies and procedures, NASA policies and procedures, and government regulations. Work independently on key projects and assignments with only limited direction, typically receiving few or no instructions. Approve others’ work and ensure compliance with requirements on key projects and assignments. As a team leader, be accountable for team results on such projects and assignments, including performance standards, budget and schedule. Mentor and coach others internal and external to organization. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in evaluating potential approaches and solutions to critical problems and determining appropriate resolutions. Initiate interaction with colleagues or functional partners outside own organization on a frequent basis.
