Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or as an Industrial Engineer I, or in a related/similar position.
  • Experience therein to include 2 years of manufacturing experience with time studies and process mapping; coordinating and implementing projects within manufacturing; and planning activities related to equipment layouts in plant, office, and production facilities.
  • 2 years of experience with the following: Microsoft office suite of programs, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel; data analysis utilizing Excel, charts, pivot tables, and formulas; and creating and modifying drawings using AutoCad software.
  • 2 years of experience in the following: Lean manufacturing utilizing the DMAIC process; Value stream mapping, elimination of process waste (MUDA), take time calculations, time studies, six sigma, process capability, scheduling and simulation modeling; and 5s program implementation and audits.
  • 2 years of experience working with ergonomics, machine safeguarding, PPE, checklists and critical to safety documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for complex planning activities related to equipment layouts in plant, office, and production facilities (4%).
  • Conduct studies to determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow considering the maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel, while ensuring workplace safety (16%).
  • Evaluate and present findings using formal written quantitative presentation methods (5%).
  • Propose alternatives for materials specifications and qualifying suppliers in order to prepare cost forecasts (5%).
  • Recommend the production methods and processes required to meet design objectives on new or improved products and/or processes (8%).
  • Coordinate the preparation of project designs and inspect their implementation (5%).
  • Apply knowledge of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the engineering field (5%).
  • Work with manufacturing time studies and process mapping, coordinating and implementing projects within manufacturing (5%).
  • Interpret technical plans, blueprints, and drawings (4%).
  • Use Microsoft office suite of programs, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and perform data analysis utilizing Excel, charts, pivot tables, and formulas (5%).
  • Use SAP for queries, transactions, and exporting data (10%).
  • Create and modify drawings using AutoCad software (4%).
  • Responsible for Lean manufacturing utilizing the DMAIC process, Value stream mapping, elimination of process waste (MUDA), takt time calculations, time studies, six sigma, process capability, scheduling and simulation modeling, and 5s program implementation and audits (15%).
  • Use problem solving tools including 5 whys and fishbone diagrams, PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) process, and perform process and product audits (5%).
  • Work with ergonomics, machine safeguarding, PPE, checklists and critical to safety documentation (4%).
