About The Position

IPME is a national industrial services firm and nationwide licensed electrical contractor providing electrical and mechanical installation, relocation, and maintenance support for complex manufacturing systems. With a proven track record in automotive, material handling, food and beverage, glass container manufacturing, and industrial process technologies, we support leading manufacturers across the U.S. in keeping production running safely, efficiently, and on schedule. We maintain an excellent EMR and safety record, reflecting our strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality execution in demanding industrial environments. As we continue to grow our presence in the Southeast, we are seeking a driven Industrial Sales Representative to expand both project-based work and long-term service relationships. This is a field-based sales role focused on developing new business and growing existing accounts within industrial and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable on the plant floor, understands industrial operations, and can identify both project opportunities and ongoing maintenance needs.

Requirements

  • Experience in industrial sales, electrical, mechanical, maintenance services, or related field
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing environments
  • Ability to build relationships and sell value-based services
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic and accountability
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel regionally (primarily Southeast U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical background in electrical or mechanical systems
  • Experience selling service contracts or recurring revenue
  • Existing network in Georgia or Southeast manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with plant managers, maintenance managers, engineers, and operations teams
  • Identify and pursue opportunities in equipment installation, relocation, electrical upgrades, and maintenance services
  • Promote preventive maintenance programs, break-fix support, and long-term service agreements
  • Conduct site visits to assess customer needs and identify opportunities
  • Generate proposals in collaboration with engineering and project teams
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of project and recurring service work
  • Meet and exceed revenue targets
