About The Position

The Industrial Project Director is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, execution, and financial performance of large-scale industrial projects across the United States. This role provides oversight across multiple project teams, ensuring safe delivery, contractual compliance, operational excellence, and profitability while maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements

Minimum of 15+ years in an industrial construction environment.

Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and governance for multiple complex industrial projects
Set project execution strategies aligned with business objectives and client expectations
Mentor and manage Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and site leadership teams
Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
Oversee full project lifecycle: pre-contract planning, execution, commissioning, and close-out
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to contractual specifications
Review and approve project plans, schedules, methodologies, and resource strategies
Lead risk identification, mitigation planning, and resolution of critical project issues
Hold full P&L responsibility for assigned projects and/or regional portfolios
Review project cost forecasts, margins, cash flow, and change management
Support contract negotiations, variations, and claims management
Ensure accurate reporting and financial controls in line with company standards
Serve as executive-level point of contact for key clients
Build long-term client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business
Support business development by contributing to bids, proposals, and technical solutions
Collaborate with internal departments including engineering, HSE, finance, and procurement
Promote best-in-class safety planning and site execution
Ensure compliance with OSHA, local regulations, and company HSE policies
Lead incident reviews and ensure corrective actions are implemented
