Industrial Painter - Wet Paint & Powder Coating (Bilingual - English/Spanish) Location : Adkins, TX 78101 Job Type : Full-Time - On-Site (W-2 Hourly) Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:45 PM (45-minute lunch) Pay : $20.00 per hour Reports to : Paint / Coating Supervisor or Production Lead About Top Metal Solutions Top Metal Solutions LLC specializes in high-quality metal fabrication, including racks, structural components, CNC cutting, welding, and coating services. Based in Adkins, Texas, we are growing rapidly and take pride in building a strong team to support our manufacturing operations. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter with expertise in both wet paint and powder coating to join our growing team. This role is critical for ensuring high-quality finishes on our metal products, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and supporting production schedules.

Requirements

  • Authorization to work in the United States (valid work permit or status required).
  • Proven experience in industrial painting with wet paint and powder coating.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, coating specs, and safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of DFT (Dry Film Thickness) standards and quality inspection practices preferred.
  • Experience with HVLP and electrostatic spray systems.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials, stand for extended periods, and wear respirators and other PPE.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lift up to 70 lbs without assistance.
  • Stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
  • Work in environments with heat, dust, or fumes.
  • Consistent use of PPE including respirators as required by OSHA standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of DFT (Dry Film Thickness) standards and quality inspection practices preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare metal surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primer.
  • Mix and apply coatings (wet paint and powder) using HVLP and electrostatic spray guns.
  • Apply primers, base coats, and finish coats according to specifications and thickness requirements (DFT).
  • Operate and maintain spray booths, powder coating equipment, ovens, and related tools.
  • Inspect finished work for quality, coverage, and adhesion; make adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the paint area and equipment.
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and use required PPE at all times.
  • Assist with inventory of paints, powders, and related materials.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in the painting/coating department.
