About The Position

An intern supports the assigned design department by assisting with a variety of tasks, including special project assignments and active participation in project design and documentation, to gain practical experience and support their educational development. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior or lead engineers, project managers, designers with basic design tasks, including research, simple studies, and layout support
• Help prepare drawings and documents for programming, schematic design, modeling, graphics, design development, and construction phases
• Support the creation of presentation and marketing materials
• Assist with construction phase activities, including participating in site visits, supporting RFI responses, reviewing shop drawings, and helping update record drawings
• Follow established quality control procedures and ask questions as needed
• Learn and apply department and company standards and best practices
• Develop basic design, analysis, and technical skills through hands-on experience
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with team members
• Receive guidance and direction from supervisors and team leaders
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, interior designers, and other multidisciplinary team members
• Perform other related duties as assigned
